Beef Curry Recipe 2
Try this nice beef curry recipe..!
Ingredients
  • 900g (2 lb) braising steak cut into bite-sized pieces
  • A little plain flour
  • 5 tablespoons (75ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely sliced
  • 4 green cardamom pods
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 whole clove of garlic
  • Water
  • 2 teaspoons (10ml) curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) mustard powder
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves crushed garlic
  • 5cm (2 inches) of grated ginger root
  • 1 finely chopped green chilli
  • 1 cup of garam masala gravy (mix 2 tablespoon of garam masala paste with a cup of water to make the gravy)
  • 4 tablespoons (60ml) finely chopped fresh coriander
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) roughly chopped fresh coriander

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Heat the oil in a pan over a medium heat
2. Roll the beef in a little plain flour
3. Fry the beef in small batches at a time until it is brown
4. Put the beef, sliced onion, cardamom pods, bay leaves and whole garlic clove in a casserole dish, cover with water, put the casserole lid on and cook for 2 hours at 200C (390F)
5. Make a paste of the curry powder, mustard powder and chilli powder with a little water
6. Fry the chopped onion until translucent in the vegetable oil then add the crushed garlic, grated ginger and green chilli and stir fry on medium for a further 5 minutes
7. Add the curry powder, mustard powder and chilli powder paste and stir in and fry for a further 30 seconds
8. Add the cooked beef from the casserole to the pan
9. Add the garam masala gravy and simmer for 5 minutes or until the beef is hot again, stirring occasionally
10. If needed, add some juice from the casserole to prevent the curry becoming too thick or dry
11. Now add the finely chopped fresh coriander and cook for a further minute
12. Serve on rice and garnish with with the roughly chopped fresh coriander

BEEF CURRY TOP HAT

BEEF CURRY TOP HAT ..an amazing beef curry recipe to try ! Very delicious !

INGREDIENTS & INSTRUCTIONS
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 pounds cubed beef; brown
  • 1 large apple, pared and sliced
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 10 ounce package frozen peas & carrots
  • 1 1/2 quart casseroles
  • 10 ounce package corn muffin mix
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese.

INSTRUCTIONS

Cook 1/2 cup chopped onion and 1 clove garlic, minced, in 4 tablespoons butter. Add 2 pounds cubed beef; brown. Add 1 large apple, pared and sliced, 1 1/4 cups water, 1 tablespoon curry powder and 1 teaspoon salt. Cover; simmer about 45 minutes.
Mix 1/4 cup flour and 1/2 cup water; add to beef. Cook until bubbly.
Remove from heat; add one 10 ounce package frozen peas and carrots,thawed. Place mixture in two 1 1/2 quart casseroles. Cool quickly; wrap, label and freeze.
Prepare one 10 ounce package corn muffin mix according to package directions except fold in 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese. Pour into two greased 8 inch pie plates. Bake in 425 degree oven 10 minutes. Cool, wrap, label and freeze.
To serve: Place one frozen casserole into unheated oven. Bake, covered, in 400 degree oven 55 minutes, stirring occasionally the last 25 minutes. Meanwhile, cut one thawed corn bread into 6 wedges.
Sprinkle lightly with water and place atop casserole. Bake, uncovered, 5 minutes more. Makes 4 to 6 servings per casserole.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 lb. ground beef, browned
  • 1 1/2 c. raw rice
  • 3 c. water (may need more water, can use mushroom liquid)
  • 1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup
  • 1 lg. onion, sliced
  • 1 1/4 tsp. curry powder
  • 2 to 3 tbsp. bovril
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms or brown 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms
INSTRUCTIONS
Put all ingredients together in a large serving casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hours. Stir several times while cooking. Check for moisture. Serve with sour cream.

  • 1 1/4 c. brown gravy or sauce
INSTRUCTIONS
Brown onion and celery in hot oil. Add meat, mushrooms, seasonings and brown gravy or sauce. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Serve over cooked rice.
Garnish with 1 or more (or all) of the following: Finely chopped nuts, chopped onions, chopped celery, chopped boiled egg, crumbled bacon, diced tomatoes, chutney sauce. BEEF CURRY AND BROCCOLI WITH RICE

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 - 1 1/2 lb. beef cubes, cut into sm. size
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. oil (or low-cal cooking spray)
  • 1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. Natural Au Jus Gravy with sauteed onions
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. curry powder
  • 1 pkg. broccoli (frozen)
  • 1 c. per serving rice (cooked)
INSTRUCTIONS
Brown beef cubes in oil (or spray) in skillet. Add mushrooms and cook until mushrooms are soft. Combine soup, Worcestershire sauce and curry powder in bowl.
Make up gravy from natural meat and mushroom drippings, onion, and desired seasoning in second bowl with water. Add both bowls to skillet. Simmer, covered until tender (approximately 30 minutes). Add broccoli for an additional 15 minutes until blended and softened.
Serve over rice and garnish as desired. The beef curry recipe is ready to serve...nice one ! enjoy it !

GROUND BEEF 'N CURRY RECIPE

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 4 tsp. curry powder
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 4 juicy tomatoes, diced or 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 4 c. cooked rice
  • Condiment (see below)
INSTRUCTIONS
Saute garlic and onion in butter, then add ground beef and brown. Add seasonings and tomatoes (break up canned tomatoes if using those). Heat thoroughly. Serve over cooked rice. Makes 4 servings.

CONDIMENTS:
  • 2 sliced bananas
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 1/2 c. coconut, shredded
  • 1 c. mango chutney, if available
INSTRUCTIONS
Fill separate bowls with condiments and place on table with small serving spoons or forks and allow people to put what they want on their curry. The beef curry recipe is ready to serve
